Past Purloined

I.
We knew naught but to pursue each other
Only sought to renew
what captured joy once felt
what Rapturous Passion, a religion spelt
With kisses and sidelong glances
From across a flaming canyon.

II.
In beachsands
Soft lines drawn to connect
Foresight and retrospect
Past pleasure and sacred sin

III.
Heart to heart
And skin to skin
Oh! What twisted fate has brought
For we sought naught but
One
Untainted
Truth.
